My Visit

Today I visited my old friend and business partner Ebenezer Scrooge. Unfortunately it was not the visit I would have liked to have with my old pal but still a visit. I could not believe the look on his face when he saw me, he looked at me like I was going to kill him. I mean I know a ghost in chains is not something you see often but still I was his partner! I just think he should have recognized me. The worst part about it is that he didn't even believe I was real for the longest time. He kept saying he was just hallucinating and I was not real. I finally had to prove to him I was real by yelling and rattling my chains. Then I had to unwrap the gauze from around my head. My jaw dropped down on my chest and all the terrible memories came back. I know Scrooge knew who I was and knew I was real then. When I stopped rattling my chains and tied the gauze back he looked completely terrified. Then he started asking me questions like why are you here? what do you want from me? and the worst one to me was what are the chains for? I answered all of them, trying to avoid the chains. Then he asked again. So I had to proceed with an answer, and that is when the real reason I was there came out. I explained that the chains were all my sins and bad things I had done in my life. I warned him that his could be him someday and that three other ghosts would be visiting him tonight, Christmas past, present, and future. I then bid him farewell and left back to the deep dark hole also known as hell.
